Does this goose look a little scary? I sometimes think they are when they waddle toward you while hissing. I think they could do some damage with those strong wings of theirs!

Ooooo! I had some really scary times with geese. My Grandparents had a small farm. I had to go from the back porch through the yard to get to the back horses and on guard in the yard was a meeeean goose. Now mind you my Grandmother was the mother of eight children and each of them had 2-3 kids. . .so with almost 20 grandchildren I am sure that goose met up with some rascally grandchildren, which probably set the pace for any child entering the yard.
Now back to your illustration. I love this! You do the best characters and the boy is so endearing and adorable and the goose. . .seems a bit rascally. Makes me want to hear the rest of the story.
Now I just don't understand. Ducks are always pretty nice, why would geese be mean? I am sure ducks receive their share of harassment from rascally children. By the way, that's a lot of cousins you have! Must have been fun. Thanks for the compliments on my work!
Geese can indeed be scary, ... but I kind of like them just the same :o) They are sometimes used in flocks to guard premises. Your goose looks lovely though.
