Last night, Tom and I had the great pleasure of hearing his high school friend, musician Piers Faccini play at the Flynn Theater in Burlington. His music, a unique blend of celtic, west african and eastern influences, is amazing. Not to mention the fact that he is just a thouroughly nice guy. Unfortunately, this year's auction will be bitter-sweet, as Robert Mercer, for whom the project is named, succumbed to cancer in August.
